Near-by Within half a mile of the village there is an 18 hole golf course, a lesiure complex, go-carting and other entertainment. Within four miles are several trout and course fishing lakes Newquay and Perranporth Full-size golf courses, bowling, a boating lake and tennis courts are available. Newquay Zoo is a popular tourist attraction and also at Newquay are indoor fun pools with flumes. </P> <P>Truro is Cornwall's 'cathedral city' about 12 miles away from Hollywell Bay. With a population of less than 20,000 Truro is a charming and attractive city with cobbled streets, an excellent mixture of large stores and individual shops, a museum and an art gallery and, of course, the cathedral. Depending on the tide, it is possible to take a picturesque boat trip down the estuary of the River Fal. Truro also has a cinema, tennis courts, parks and an indoor swimming pool. </P> <P>The beach offers excellent bathing and surfing opporunities. Lifeguards are on patrol during the summer season. The sandunes and headland are fantastic for strolling through. Only a short distance away is the Holy Well itself - a natural spring reputed to have medicinal powers.</P> <P> We have nine caravans each of which can accommodate up to six people. About 1 mile past the windmills at the end of the Mitchell Bypass, turn right at the Perranporth fork onto the B3285. Take the second turn on the right (approx. 1/2 mile)and follow the road (for approx. 2 miles) to the junction with the main A3075 Newquay-Redruth Road. Turn right, go down the hill, and at the top of the next hill turn left through Cubert to Holywell. On arriving at Holywell continue to the bottom of the hill and turn left by the telephone kiosk.
